s

On Saturday 30th January, the U15's and U16's had a Paintballing Day at the Hop Farm.

Under 15's and U16's Paintballing

Apart from being cold the boy's all had a great day (even better with the U15's winning 6-0)

All the boys were very well behaved and a Credit to the club.

They got their own back on the Manager's at the end with a free for all and I think we will have bruises for a few days.

Club History

History

The club comprises of 17 youth teams, some competing in The North Kent Junior Football Leagues and some in The Medway News Youth League.

The majority of the Teams play their home matches at Istead Rise Community Centre where we have 3 pitches.

All teams play in Red Shirts, Shorts and Socks and change to Blue Shirts for away games if required.

The club has been established for approximately 30 years and over the last few years has seen a steady growth with teams in every age group from Under 6s to Under 18s.

We have recently achieved the F.A Standard Chartered Community Club status.

Most managers have at least a FA Level 1 Coaching qualification, 1 coach having recently gained their FA Level 2 Coaching qualification and a further 4 coaches current undertaking the 3-4 month training sessions to achieve their FA Level 2 Coaching qualification.

Sir Trevor Brooking's Visit

Sir Trevor Brooking

Istead Rise welcomed Sir Trevor Brooking to officially open the recently completed Community Centre.

The morning was celebrated by 4 mixed teams representing the House teams from the Primary School played

in a Round Robin 5-a-side competition, with the blue team from St Andrews coming away victorious, by virtue of their slightly superior goal difference.

There is a small selection of photos taken on the day on our Gallery page.

The Under 9's teams took on a 4 mile sponsored walk on Saturday 7th February in order to raise funds for new tracksuits for the boys.

The total amount raised was enough to buy both teams full tracksuits. Thanks to all the friends and families who took part and/or sponsored the boys for the afternoon.
